Create and Sustain a Network of Knowledgeable, Skilled Leaders

Tuition paid by IGEL participants or their institutions are significant, but these funds only cover 50-60% of the program’s cost. Civic and community leaders, or individuals working in nonprofits may not be able to participate without a scholarship. IGEL’s scholarship opportunities, funded with contributions from individuals, foundations, and corporations, help us ensure diversity in each class.

IGEL is committed to keeping its annual budget focused on its mission. More than 94% of our funding goes toward programming costs.

You can select one of our fixed donation tiers, contribute specifically to the Barbara Gallo Memorial Scholarship Fund, or choose your own amount. Your gift to IGEL builds a diverse network of leaders collaborating across industry sectors and geographical regions to resolve Georgia's environmental challenges.

IGEL Alumni Campaign

Every October through January, we ask IGELians to give back through the Alumni Campaign. Even full tuition paid by current IGELians covers just half the costs of IGEL, and many folks could not participate without additional scholarship support. We fundraise year-round from corporate sponsors and foundations, but the financial backbone of any organization like IGEL must always be its alumni. Nothing speaks louder about the program's real worth than what past participants demonstrate with their own generosity. The Alumni Campaign has spoken loudly and clearly by surpassing a 70% participation rate. Please take a moment right now to make your contribution, and do your part to ensure IGEL continues creating a diverse network of environmentally educated leaders.

Barbara Gallo Memorial Scholarship Fund

In honor of our dear friend and colleague, please consider a donation to the Barbara Gallo Memorial Scholarship Fund to help more individuals experience IGEL, and help expand the network of leaders collaborating to sustain and improve the health of Georgia’s environmental resources. Leading environmental attorney and partner with Krevolin & Horst, LLC, Barbara served in the Georgia Attorney General’s office for almost 12 years, on the Board of Directors for the Georgia Urban Forest Council, and as chair of the IGEL Board.
